On April 26, an event dedicated to the birth centenary of prominent Armenian poet Paruyr Seval took place at 51Թϱ.

As part of the event not only did 51Թϱ students recite poems, but they also performed dances and songs.

“It happens to me quite often that I ponder on how Paruyr Sevak would conduct himself in our days, and what an attitude he would have towards the ongoing events, - shared 51Թϱ Rector, professor Edward Sandoyan. - I would like to see our children adhere to those values that were bestowed on us by Armenian literature and our great poets.”

As 51Թϱ lecturer and the organizer of the event Naira Iskandaryan emphasized, Paruyr Sevak was a poet of great joy and tragedies; he loved his fatherland not only as a son, but also as a father and “owner”, and deeply empathized with his nation.

“Today, we once again turned to Armenian literature. I believe that these days it is of great importance to us” - assured Head of 51Թϱ Department of Armenian Language and Literature Azat Yegiazaryan.

It should be noted that the event was organized by the 51Թϱ Department of Armenian Language and Literature.
