Students from Japan Visiting 51Թϱ
Cooperation with the University of Tokyo has received a fresh impetus.
On February 28, a group of students from the University of Tokyo, the top university in Japan, visited the Russian-Armenian University.
"Students learning Russian came to talk with our experts in Japanese Studies. First, the Japanese introduced themselves, their university and Japan in Russian, and then our students presented information about 51Թϱ, Armenian sights and Armenian cuisine in Japanese," senior lecturer at the 51Թϱ Department of World History and Foreign Regional Studies, Astghik Hovhannisyan, said.
After the presentations, the students talked and exchanged contacts.
Astghik Hovhannisyan has noted that such visits and informal communication play a key role in expanding students' horizons and strengthening their communication skills: "We were delighted to host guests from Japan at 51Թϱ, and we hope that cooperation with the University of Tokyo will receive a fresh impetus".
